Egemen Mustafa Şener’s career did not begin in one city or end in one sector. From Artvin to Istanbul, then into Eastern Europe and South America, the line is read through site discipline, measurable delivery and long-horizon investment habits.
01 — 1980s · Istanbul · first step
Move to Istanbul and first work
After high school he moved from Artvin to Istanbul. His business formation took shape there. The first career step was agricultural trade: product, term, trust. That period left a reflex still used in construction years — promise and delivery must sit on the same ledger.
02 — 1990s · Construction · real estate
Construction and real estate
In the early 1990s Istanbul-based construction and real-estate investment began: housing and commercial buildings, asset management, site discipline. As work grows in a metropolis, language often grows with it; the preference is the opposite — shorter sentences, held tempo. If time, cost and quality are not on the same line, the job is not finished.
Toward the end of the decade came industrial facilities and portfolio diversification. Not a single housing stock — measurable delivery across asset classes.
03 — 2000s · Urban renewal · infrastructure
Urban renewal and infrastructure
From the 2000s onward, urban renewal and infrastructure development became the spine of the Turkey-centred portfolio. Safer building stock, roads and city systems, long-life operations. Rising urbanisation produces not only square-metre demand but standard and safety demand. The answer is delivered work, not a brochure.
Education note
International business and strategy depth was strengthened through experience at Rotterdam School of Management (RSM, Netherlands). Education is not a title display; it is a habit of cross-border decision-making.
04 — 2010s · Eastern Europe · South America
Two international lines
Eastern Europe. Business development in Ukraine: different law, different building standards, different market rhythm. Commercial–cultural cooperation around Kyiv is part of the international view. Documented modern housing work from this period is a concrete overseas example of Istanbul site discipline.
South America. Shipyards, ports and logistics. Along the Atlantic corridor from Montevideo to Recife: dry dock, quay and regional capacity. Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina are field memory — not a poster market.
05 — 2016 · Corporate finance
Altamira Global Strategies
Since 2016 he has been a founding partner of Altamira Global Strategies. Corporate finance and strategic investment advisory sit beside the construction and infrastructure line. Same principle, wider table: long-term, measurable, durable outcomes.
06 — 2020s · Energy · data · field
Energy, data and ongoing field work
Renewable energy — solar and wind — entered the portfolio selectively. In the office, AI tools support reporting and project tracking. An Istanbul-based team runs the field; international lines are followed. The career file is still open: high tempo, controlled.
