Çifteköprü is a small eastern Black Sea village. Days follow the land and the weather. His father farmed; his mother came from a Laz family. A promise made at home was not taken lightly. That habit later showed up on site: work is either done or it is not.

There, land is more than a living. Trust and neighbourly obligation run through it. Quick-money talk does not last. For Şener, the real measure of a project is whether the asset still stands years later — lasting results, not short stock.

Village roads, mist and early mornings teach tempo early. When that tempo reached Istanbul it did not vanish. The scale grew; the measure stayed.

After secondary school he moved to Istanbul. The city widened his path; it did not erase what he had learned at home. He studied business in the 1980s, began in agricultural trade, then turned in the early 1990s to Istanbul construction and real estate. Delivery day was where a word was tested.

From the 2000s, urban renewal and infrastructure carried more of the portfolio. In a big city, building is not only walls. Safe housing stock, roads, water and energy belong at the same table.

Study at Rotterdam School of Management (RSM, Netherlands) strengthened the international side of his work. Istanbul remained the base; the field of view widened.

In the 2010s the work moved beyond Türkiye. He developed projects in Ukraine and Eastern Europe — different laws, standards and market pace. Site order learned in Istanbul was applied with the same measure elsewhere.

In the same period, port, shipyard and logistics investments in South America came into view along the Atlantic line from Montevideo to Recife. Not a distant showcase; a followed field.

In 2016 he became a founding partner of Altamira Global Strategies. From the 2020s, selected solar and wind investments joined the portfolio.

He is married to Elif; they have three children. Family life is not pushed aside for the calendar. He works in English. Istanbul remains home and base.
